What is Berkshire Pork?

As a member of The American Berkshire Association, our ranch is recognized to raise one of the most superior breed of swine, the Berkshire pig. When compared to various boars, Berkshire pigs scored highest of all major American pure breeds in sensory quality, and was ranked first in 19 of 22 quality measures.

​​Our pork is sold under the 100% Pure Berkshire Pork label, which means the pork has been produced from pigs that are offspring of purebred, pedigreed Berkshire sires and dams.*

What are the Benefits of Pork?

The U.S. Department of Agriculture recently reported that six common cuts of pork found in today’s butcher cases are, on average, 16 percent leaner than 15 years ago.

Pork tenderloin is the leanest cut of pork, and contains only 2.98 grams of fat per 3-ounce serving. Among other nutrients, pork is an excellent source of riboflavin, vitamin B-6, and a “good” source of zinc and potassium.*
